    The IT Trainer manages all aspects of technology training systems and delivery.  This role ensures that the IT training environment is set up with appropriate data, managing the uPerform content and delivery system.   The IT Trainer also works closely with their assigned business team, delivering current and planning future solutions. Key capabilities will be the ability to work with/influence business subject matter experts, technology partners, and external vendors.


    Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:


    Training & Content Development:

    • Assist in the creation of any missing uPerform simulations, class exercises, job aids, reference guides, e-learning materials, instructor Power Point content, and assessments for assigned courses according to good instructional design and communication principles.
    • Edit and finalize the training materials based on testing and piloting activities.
    • Define data requirements for training environment, as required per course.
    • Delivering end user training on technology solutions, include SAP, ADC, and ROC, and other technology solutions.
    • Deliver assigned courses as defined by master schedule.
    • Complete all required participant tracking, follow-up, and documentation.
    • Provide support during and after each training session to those that have attended the instructor’s class.

    Training Environment Configuration:

    • Training environment design, development, and deployment.
    • Identify the training requirements such as estimated max concurrent users, modules/functionalities to be trained.
    • Work with Functional Team and Basis Team to design the training environment client-build and refresh strategy based on the training requirements, timing of integration testing, and number of clients.
    • Work with Security Team to finalize training security profiles.
    • Develop and manage data loading approach and process (timeline, approach and tools).
    • Work with Basis Team and Security Team to build and maintain the training environment.

    uPerform Administration:

    • Create and manage projects and compile project-directed settings, including uPerform templates, language usage, project members, project member rights, project name, etc.
    • Create and manage document libraries and end-user website taxonomies.
    • Create and manage pre-defined document workflows. Can stop a workflow or cancel document checkout.
    • Define website context of all documents in the project.
    • Act as uPerform Glossary Administrator to manage glossary globalization queues.
    • Manages changes to field definitions.
    • Acts as uPerform Publishing Administrator to manage publication queues.

    • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Information Technology Systems or related field, and 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
    • Minimum of 4+ years of knowledge and experience in SAP (Logistics, Materials Management required, Production Planning and/or Finance also preferred).
    • Minimum of 4+ years SAP training development and delivery experience.
    • Experience working with uPerform for both content development and use in classroom delivery.
    • Project Management Certification, preferred.
    • Proven project management experience working with mid-sized projects.
    • Effective communication skills to work with subject matter experts in the delivery of procedures and training.
    • Outstanding writing skills to author concise, grammatically correct procedures and training for international audience.
    • Eye for detail and ability to follow already-defined standards.
    • People management and development experience.
    • Strong communications, influencing, and partnering skills.
    • Ability to work with business leaders.
    • Ability to translate business needs into solutions.
    • Ability to conduct training based on principles of adult learning.
    • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Role has responsibility for managing contractors and outside vendors as business needs arise.

    • The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
    • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
