The Wal-Mart Replenishment Analyst is responsible for ensuring product availability at the Wal-Mart Distribution Centers (DCs) and Stores to maximize the Point-of-Sale (POS) opportunities for Wal-Mart while controlling the Markup and Markdown (MUMD) costs. This role ensures the accuracy of the Wal-Mart POS forecast which drives the correct order quantities. Maintain key performance indicators at target levels and performs analyses of items’ in-stock performance to determine root cause issues and solutions to improve performance. Contributors in this role have the skillset and ability to identify opportunities, articulate solutions, and take corrective action to drive improvement. This person is experienced in and capable of managing two of the following business areas: Fresh, Packaged, Smoked, or Sam’s, and is able to assist in the training of new employees in two of these areas. The Wal-Mart Replenishment Analyst will facilitate constant communication between Category Planners and the Wal-Mart Replenishment Managers and all efforts are dedicated to improving the business experience with Smithfield Foods and supporting sales growth. All references to Wal-Mart includes Sam’s program as a part of the process where applicable.
