  • Overview

    Floor Person performs a variety of functions including, but not limited to maintaining floors free of excessive trash and manages the recycling program within our facility.  Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within the quality parameters established.   

    Responsibilities

    • Keeps production floor clean and free from possible contamination
    • Sets up combos for recycling with combo liners
    • Places in the designated recycle bin area
    • Separates recyclables to proper containers
    • Removes combo liners and takes recyclables to baling areas
    • Takes combos of trash to the trash compactors

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

    • Knowledge and experience in Meat Industry is preferred, but not required
    • Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.
    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to utilize manual equipment/pallet jacks.
    • Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demands.
