    Pump Machine Operator is responsible for mixing of brine and ensuring the required specifications are met.

    Responsibilities

    • Key position as machine operator who is responsible for mixing of brine and ensuring the required specifications are met.
    • Add specified seasoning mixtures and monitor process. Ensure proper percentages of items are correct.
    • Make necessary changes and or adjustments according to specifications.
    • Maintain continuous flow of produced product.
    • Trouble shoots any problems that may arise. Inform Room Supervisor of any situations or changes as they arise.
    • Operate scale to correctly weigh product or seasonings.
    • Job duties are not limited to Pump Machine responsibilities only. Will be required to perform general labor job responsibilities as needed.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High School or GED equivalent preferred, but not required.  Basic computer knowledge and prior experience in operating walker or rider forklift preferred.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

     

    READING/WRITING/LANGUAGE/MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Proficient reading, legible writing, and basic mathematical skills (percentages, military time, and averages, etc) are required.       

     

    REASONING:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Physical Demands

    Must be able to push/pull production racks (1,000-2,000 lbs).  Position requires heavy lifting 10 -100 lbs.

     

    Work Environment

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold of -10F to 120F.  The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
