Under the direction of QA Lead, the responsibility of this position is to analyze food samples and help to ensure the timely release of ingredients and product for Blending or Shipping.


Other responsibilities will lend support to the overall QA effort to ensure food-safe, top quality product reaches our customers.

  • Conducts laboratory tests on product samples, not limited to pH, salt, granulation, viscosity, and color. Accurately documents activities and results in QA systems and records.
  • Conducts basic microbiological analysis of ingredient and product samples.
  • Conducts inspections of production equipment, upon request.
  • Accurately documents test results.
  • Performs calibration checks on production scales as defined in the equipment operation and calibration procedures.
  • Reviews product testing data for completeness and compliance to specifications and releases product for shipment.
  • Practices and promotes the food safety and quality systems (GMP, FIFO and SOP’s, HACCP) to hold high company standards.
  • Conducts Pre-Operational, Start up and Production inspections and audits to verify compliance to GMP's and Quality specifications.
  • Collects environmental samples and performs ATP sanitation checks as needed.
  • Effectively communicates with all functional departments including production, warehouse, maintenance, etc.

  • Minimum of one year experience in food manufacturing quality or related industry.
  • College degree in relevant field (Preferred).
  • Work effectively in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Able to read and follow written & verbal instructions.
  • Ability to accurately record and interpret data testing results.
  • Communicate effectively with members of other departments and management.
  • Understand formulas and specifications.
  • Mathematical skill (ratios, fractions, percentages, decimals).
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
