Overview

The Pricing Coordinator creates and maintains pricing data within SAP and Vistex. This can include customer price adjustments, discounts, promotions and other items that impact cost and margin within the ERP system. This position works closely with sales, business development and other departments to ensure products carry the correct pricing per terms with customers, promotions and other items that impact pricing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

 

Pricing Support

  • Acts as primary contact point for Smithfield’s partners regarding pricing for the Fresh and Packaged teams.
  • Responsible for responding to all requests from customers; including major retail and foodservice accounts.

Price List Management

  • Responsible for maintaining National Base pricing for Retail and Foodservice, Formula Pricing and Customer specific pricing in Data Maintenance of SAP and Vistex, including setting up price lists variants, price update variants and partnering with IT to automate the price updates and delivery of price lists.

Data Correction and Analysis

  • Provides pricing support responsibility for customer service, sales and trade management to include researching problems and make corrections upon approvals.
  • Takes initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin.

Other Duties

  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting to optimize pricing and validation.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of database management.
  • Understanding of systems integration for moving data from one system to another.
  • Knowledge of GS1 Data Synchronization is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
