The IFRS Reporting Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of IFRS accounting and reporting, and ensuring proper controls are in place and maintained over IFRS reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Identify US GAAP vs. IFRS accounting differences
  • Prepare/review US GAAP to IFRS adjusting accounting entries

  • Prepare/review consolidating IFRS balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements

  • Prepare/review parent company financial reporting packages

  • Review/maintain supporting tie-out documentation for IFRS reports

  • Perform financial statement analysis

  • Work closely with US GAAP accounting manager to prepare reporting information consistently for IFRS

  • Work closely with consolidation accountants to implement system changes to meet or enhance IFRS reporting needs

  • Implement and maintain controls over IFRS reporting

  • Stay abreast of IFRS accounting pronouncements and exposure drafts – summarize and report on key aspects and potential impacts on company

  • Research accounting issues and draft technical accounting memos as requested

  • Assist with internal reporting needs as requested

  • Other ad hoc projects as requested

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or related degree from four-year college or university and 5+ years related experience and/or training; required.
  • CPA & 4+ years of Big 4 Audit experience, required.
  • IFRS experience, preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to research, develop and present ideas to groups
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP Accounting software; SAP HCM software; SAP BPC software, SAP BW software; Inventory software; and Manufacturing software.
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises the Financial Reporting employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
