Responsible for maintaining balanced inventories and coordinating with inventory control at distribution centers to research variances and write-off or write-on inventory when appropriate. Prepares various reports and performs analysis on inventory levels at third party facilities to provide management and sales with information needed to make decisions about production levels and sales.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  1. Communicates with the inventory control personnel at the distribution centers to confirm that inventory levels are balanced. Researches and resolves the cause of variances in inventory and provides variance explanations to management.
  2. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventories in SAP compared to third party warehouses.
  3. Prepares bill backs for variances that are due to reasons such as damaged or lost product.
  4. Analyzes Gain and Loss Reports, interpreting the results and providing explanations or resolutions, as needed.
  5. Tracks unbilled shipments on a weekly basis and researches to determine the shipment’s disposition.
  6. Prepares daily and weekly inventory reports, including reconciling existing inventory levels with physical inventory counts reported by our third party vendors and receipts; outlining damaged/lost quantities; unbilled shipments; quantities of shipped cases and direct plant shipments.
  7. Monitors in-transit STO’s for accrual and timeliness; verifies receipts including STO, outside purchase case and weight discrepancies.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School diploma or GED and 1+ years of experience and/or training, required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience and/or training, preferred.
  • Previous SAP experience, preferred.
  • Solid mathematical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data with extreme accuracy, required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
