Overview

The Marketing Activation Manager is directly responsible for the development and execution of marketing programs and activation calendars to optimize brand assets, product mix, promotional timing, and customer engagement for channel execution.  This role must work effectively with internal partners, external vendors and customers to deliver best in class events and programs to support the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities

  1. Support annual customer marketing planning process with key internal stakeholders within assigned geographic territories.
  2. Develop programs, platforms and activation calendars to optimize brand assets, promotional timing, product mix, etc. for execution.
  3. Direct and provide feedback to agency partners in development of channel platforms.
  4. Responsbile for on-site activation events to ensure best practices and building customer relationships.
  5. Establish mobile tour schedule and ensure seamless execution.
  6. Develop and manage multi-faceted projects including operational, financial, sales and marketing components from concept to completion with a high level of attention to detail and within tight timelines.
  7. Manage the development of platform and program requirements for ideal execution within Channel to deliver to the Brand teams for creative development.
  8. Create compelling presentations and support sales in presenting program details to key decision makers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a regionally accredited four-year college or university with an emphasis in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field with at least 3+ years’ related experience, required.
  • Experience in consumer goods industry in the area of Customer Marketing or Sales Promotion, preferred.
  • Understanding of brand management disciplines, key marketing strategies, media and selling dynamics.
  • Ability to manage external vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as ability to be a creative and conceptual thinker.
  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in a cross-functional environment with both internal and external team members.
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing in a fashion appropriate to various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time, including nights and weekends, as events dictate.
  • Self Starter and driven with an attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects is critical.
  • PC skills must include experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Frequently required to sit and talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; regularly reach with hands and arms.
