  • Overview


    This position is responsible for maintaining timely and efficient flow of product during the production process and for following standard operating procedures, including but not limited to completing maintenance related paperwork and meeting maintenance specifications.



    • Ability to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing and extending arms.
    • Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12 hour shift.
    • Ability to work around animal blood and/or body parts.
    • Ability to work in cold areas (Approx. 20-40F).
    • Ability to work in warm areas( over 100F).
    • Ability to work in a wet/humid environment.
    • Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
    • Can understand and follow oral and written instructions.
    • Can lift heavy objects, which can weigh up to 60lbs.
    • Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals
    • Ability to work with strong odors/smells.
    • Can work in a noisy environment.
    • Ability to climb, move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
    • Can bend, stoop, and twist repetitively throughout your entire shift.
    • Can walk long distances.
    • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks,including; scissor lifts, pallet jacks, ect.
    • Ability to work with a variety of chemicals, solvents, and understand/abide by the corresponding material safety data sheet, MSDS.
    • Ability to read, write the following; work orders, instructions, daily reports and machine manuals.
    • Willing to pass physical to wear respirators or self-contained breathing apparatus.
    • Stand and/or work on the following; moving platforms and elevated platforms.
    • Ability to receive and relate orders/information using various communication devices. 
    • Ability/Experience working with Anhydrous Ammonia systems.

    • Must be  actively enrolled in Computer Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Industrial Systems Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology program(s) offered by Wayne Community College, Lenoir Community College, Pitt Community College or Fayetteville Technical Community College.

    • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
