Oversees the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results as well as account reconciliations, and management reports. Supervises the preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  1. Prepares quarterly US GAAP financial statements and related notes for investors.
  2. Prepares quarterly Management Discussion and Analysis for investors.
  3. Prepares/reviews tie outs and maintains supporting documentation for financial reporting and investor presentations.
  4. Prepares disclosure checklists and ensures compliance with disclosure requirements.
  5. Prepares consolidated cash flow statements.
  6. Stays abreast of new accounting pronouncements and exposure drafts – summarizes and reports on key aspects and potential accounting and reporting impacts.
  7. Researches accounting issues and drafts technical accounting memos as requested.
  8. Reviews top side consolidation journal entries.
  9. Prepares annual impairment analysis for goodwill and other intangibles.
  10. Responsible for accounting for stock options, pension and OPEB plans and non-controlling interests.
  11. Assists with developing and recording US GAAP to IFRS adjustments.
  12. Assists with internal reporting needs as requested.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, or related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university and 5+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting audit experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
