    The Chef is responsible for the culintary part of the innovation team at Saratoga Food Specialties. This role will help in the food photography and styling, developing builds for presentations, creating concept trend information and trending flavor profile concepts. They will also provide support for presentations.  Will partner with Graphic Designers, Consumer Insights, Sales and R&D.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Prepare and produce proposals and presentations for customers
    • Develops, presents and /or participates in customer presentations
    • Creates concept trends based on customer requirements
    • Creates trending flavor profile concepts
    • Develops recipes and gold standards for R&D
    • Responsible for brainstorming sessions
    • Handles confidential documents carefully
    • Provides support for Food Photography and Styling
    • Responsible for testing concepts and recipes as needed
    • Responsible for customer working sessions

    • 5+ years of Culinary experience, required.
    • Two-year culinary degree and Chef certification, preferred.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Understanding of GMP’s.
    • Ability to plan, organizes, prioritize, and achieve effective time management.
    • Ability to communicate concepts and design rationale to internal and external customers.
    • Good menu writing skills is preferred.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
    • Sense of urgency & ability to meet deadlines; self-directed.
    • Up to 25% travel may be required.
    • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
