    The Associate Accountant- AP will perform a wide variety of accounting functions related to Accounts Payable. Responsibilities include assisting in day to day accounting operations including cash flow forecast, AP aging reports, daily bank accounts review and invoice status report. This position maintains the integrity of accounting records by adhering to the accounting policies and procedures of the company. This role also has a key role in assisting and preparing schedules for state tax package.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing reconciliations for Bank disbursement accounts
    • Assist in preparing reconciliation for Trade payable accounts
    • Extract daily reports from invoice work flow system (Esker)
    • Prepare and communicate weekly inter-company payment confirmations to Inter-companies.
    • Prepare outstanding check list monthly
    • Prepare AP aging report monthly
    • Extract report from the Employees expense reporting system (Concur)
    • Prepare and post weekly employees’ expenses
    • Prepare and post contactors’ accrual
    • Daily review of AP workflow email folders to ensure proper invoice routing
    • Review open AR for inter-company invoices (Outstanding /In-transit)
    • Assist in real property schedule for state tax package
    • Assist personal property schedule for state tax package

    Qualifications

    • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college in Accounting, Finance and 2+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing and/or a consumer packaged goods environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, required.
    • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
    • Knowledge of SAP, required.
    • Proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel. 
    • Ability to follow specific procedures and guidelines.
    • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
    • Skill in multi-tasking, time management, and prioritizing responsibilities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as solid organization and time management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, problem solve, acheive results, think strategically, and establish clear objectives.
    • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
